Al-Wahat Al-Bahareya is located in the western desert of Egypt and is an isolated agricultural area. Having no grid power, land owners relied mainly on generators for power supply. GILA Electric used Schneider Electric’s on-grid string inverters and DEIF’s solar hybrid controllers to successfully complete a 1MWp solar/hybrid power plant in Al-Wahat Al-Bahareya that is also connected to Gensets.
